Welcome!! My name is Heidi, and I'm a birth photographer serving in and around Denton, Texas. My love of birth photography began with the arrival of my first child - while I was a bit too busy to take photos during his birth, I handed my husband the camera and told him to snap away! Our baby was my captive subject for photos beginning that first night, and I now have six adorable kids to keep up with. After my youngest child arrived I certified as a doula. At each birth I found I was being asked to grab the camera, as everyone wants these life changing moments to be documented. I now offer birth photography with or separate from my doula services.
Each month I take a very limited number of clients, and to hold your spot in my schedule you will place a deposit at the time you hire me. The balance of your payment is due before I go on call for you at 38 weeks gestation. During our consultation we will discuss what types of photos you would like & go over some tips to help make your pictures even better. As early labor begins please contact me. When labor is well established I will join you, and remain through approximately an hour postpartum. I will capture those exciting moments leading up to your baby's arrival, the first greetings and snuggles, the feeding and baby's exam. Photos can be as discrete or candid as you like!
Within two weeks of the birth you will receive your digital images with photo print release, so you may print or post them as you choose. I will put approximately twenty to thirty images in an online gallery for you to share with friends and family. You also have the option to purchase a digital slideshow of your images, set to a song of your choice.
