Midwife Love

During the midwife exam at this homebirth I noticed the green ribbon. Each of us who attended this mom's blessingway had a green ribbon tied around our wrists symbolizing our connection and reminding us to pray for the mom through her labor. Since the mom is also a birth professional she was surrounded at her blessingway and labor by friend-colleagues. Both occasions were quite the parties! But seeing the ribbon for me was a sweet reminder of that extra special connection the midwife shared with this mom. While midwives tend to have a different level of interaction with their clients (vs. what a busy OB may have) this midwife and birth were extraordinary.
